The European Union of Music Competitions for Youth (EMCY) has entrusted to JM Spain the challenge of increasing intra-European communication and collaboration by exchanging young national music competition prize-winners. This project will be coordinated from Barcelona by JM Spain, under the name of EMCY EXCHANGE OFFICE (EMCY E.O.).
This cultural collaboration project aims to open up opportunities in Europe to artists by offering them a concert tour in another country. It also aims to promote international understanding by creating partnerships between countries.
At this point we would like to emphasise the cultural, non-profit nature of this project - neither the coordinating entity, nor any other part will be involved in profiting financially from exchanges. The intention is that all parties benefit from the exchanges. It is based on a win-win relationship, where the costs are fairly spread out among the parties.
Giving young artists the opportunity to undertake a concert tour in another country is in line with the JMs’ raison d’être, that is, promoting young musicians both nationally as well as internationally. |
