The IMC (International Music Council) is an organisation of the UNESCO with its head office in Paris. It includes national music committees, international organisations and associated members from more than seventy countries within the five continents.
Thanks to the ample relations between the IMC and Juventudes Musicales, it is possible to participate in activities all over the world like congresses, assemblies, workshops and concerts.
With the collaboration of Juventudes Musicales Spain, in 1999 the UNESCO International Music Center in Villa Gadea was founded in Altea (Alicante). Many different music organisations like Jeunesses Musicales de Altea, the International Federation for Choral Music, the International Foundation Yehudi Menuhin and the organisation Music of the Mediterranean Sea have their head office here. |
